食品伙伴網(wǎng)訊 據(jù)外媒報(bào)道,近期澳大利亞悉尼壞血病患者增多,醫(yī)學(xué)專家認(rèn)為,不良的飲食習(xí)慣是造成壞血病的原因。
據(jù)報(bào)道,悉尼的韋斯敏(Westmead)醫(yī)院有數(shù)名病人被確診患有壞血病。專家高頓(Jenny Gunton)教授表示,飲食不良可導(dǎo)致壞血病。一些病人傷口很久沒有愈合,但是通過幾個(gè)療程的維生素C治療,傷口便很快治愈。
這些患?jí)难〉牟∪?,有的人很少吃新鮮水果蔬菜或者是幾乎不吃;有的人雖然會(huì)吃一定數(shù)量的蔬菜,但是這些蔬菜卻被過度烹飪,其中的維生素C已經(jīng)被破壞。

There has been a resurgence of the rare condition of scurvy among a group of diabetes patients at a major western Sydney hospital.
It appears scurvy, a historical disease caused by a lack of vitamin C and generally associated with old-world sailors on long voyages, is making a surprise comeback in Australia, due to poor modern dietary habits.
Clinician-researcher Professor Jenny Gunton heads the Diabetes Centre at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research and investigated whether a vitamin C deficiency was behind one of her patient's unhealed wounds.
