食品伙伴網(wǎng)訊 據(jù)美國食品安全新聞網(wǎng)消息,近日由美國墨西哥風味連鎖餐廳Chipotle's食物中毒引發(fā)的大腸桿菌O26疫情在美國蔓延,導(dǎo)致20人住院。
根據(jù)英國相關(guān)研究,10年前大腸桿菌O26和大腸桿菌0157的健康風險就已經(jīng)基本持平,4年前美國農(nóng)業(yè)部將其列為6個最常見的大腸桿菌致病菌之一。
美國疾病預(yù)防和控制中心(CDC)稱,近兩年來由大腸桿菌O26引發(fā)的食物中毒事件明顯增多,在未來可能引發(fā)更多的疫情,尤其是引發(fā)溶血性尿毒綜合癥的病例數(shù)量可能會遠超過大腸桿菌O157。

It's been just a dozen years since 026 began to get recognition as a new killer strain of E. coli that could become a serious health threat in the United States. To illustrate the point, Dr. Mark Stevens of the Institute for Animal Health in the United Kingdom said a decade ago that 026 was already as dangerous as E. coli O157.
