食品伙伴網(wǎng)訊 據(jù)外媒報(bào)道,近日歐洲警方搗毀了一個(gè)從向中國走私鰻鱺苗的國際犯罪團(tuán)伙。這是歐盟近年打擊非法走私活動(dòng)最大的成果。
調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn),走私團(tuán)伙每年的走私金額高達(dá)500萬。根據(jù)歐洲司法合作組織和歐洲刑警組織聲明,各國當(dāng)局協(xié)調(diào)行動(dòng),逮捕了17人。
歐洲司法合作組織稱,調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn),一家總部在西班牙的公司從幾個(gè)歐盟成員國購買鰻鱺苗,在鱔魚進(jìn)入合法市場后,這家公司據(jù)稱又把鰻鱺苗運(yùn)到希臘,最終假造文件,以魚的名義運(yùn)往中國。

Police have broken up an international network which illegally smuggled baby eels to China, wher they are considered a delicacy with aphrodisiac qualities.
It's estimated that the gang made at least 5 million every year, laundering the proceeds and in some instances being paid with gold bars.
The police operation was carried out by Spain's environmental protection squad and involved officers from Portugal, Italy, France, Greece and United Kingdom.
